Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)  TVA provides wholesale power to 158 municipal and cooperative power distributors and 62 large industries and government installations in the valley.

Tennessee Valley Public Power Assoc. (TVPPA) TVPPA is the nonprofit service organization for consumer-owned utilities in the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) service area. These 108 municipal utilities and 50 rural electric cooperatives distribute electricity to eight and a half million consumers in Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina.
